This video-driven youth curriculum is based on Season 4 of our TV program, “The Way of the Master,” where Ray and his faithful team visited 13 European countries in just 13 days, sharing the gospel with individuals and preaching open-air to crowds in each country. For this special youth study, we’ve selected six of those countries, with some of our favorite adventures to share with you—along with brand-new footage. You will be captivated as you see members of the team being held by Italian police, learn why evolution is a fairytale for grownups, and get answers to some of life’s toughest questions, such as “Hasn’t Christianity caused more wars than anything else?” and “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?” This unique and exciting adventure across the nations of Europe is hosted by Kirk Cameron.
This course is perfect for youth ministry small groups, homeschool curriculum, or family devotions.
In this course you will get:

“Ray and Kirk always do great work. I asked some of my students to watch ROOTS and they loved it. It’s made in a way that is interesting, engaging, and helpful for students.”
~Sean McDowell — Educator, Speaker, and the Author of Apologetics for a New Generation
“ROOTS is a brilliant introduction for anyone desiring to follow Christ’s example in sharing the Gospel with the multitudes. This series is full of powerful examples of actual gospel presentation as well as easy to follow explanations to many theological and controversial questions that you might encounter during evangelism. ROOTS will challenge and encourage you to be bold in your faith and to see day-to-day life as an opportunity to impact eternity.”
~K.P. Yohannan — Gospel For Asia
“Our country is in turmoil and our society has lost its moral compass – the times may be different than when I grew up, but the message of Jesus Christ remains relevant and timeless, no matter what the state of our culture. This is why I’m excited Living Waters has produced ROOTS – this training program gives young people a firm handle, as well as appropriate language, for communicating the Gospel of Christ to a new generation. I heartily recommend ROOTS to students and youth leaders everywhere!”
~Joni Eareckson Tada — Joni and Friends International Disability Center
“I used it in our homeschool . . . The kids couldn’t wait to see each new episode and have watched several episodes more than once. We all loved this series and were challenged as well. Although my children range from preschool to high school, these videos caught and kept their attention and gave us a lot to talk about . . . Using fast-paced graphics and information geared to grab the attention of the “sound-bite generation”, ROOTS’ content was anything but trivial . . . I found the videos to be a real confidence-builder.”
~The Christian Home Educators Association of California — a product review by Karen D. Koch for their Parent Educator magazine.
“Our whole family was so delighted and challenged by ROOTS, that we had a hard time just watching one segment at a time! Families who desire to raise their children as whole-hearted disciples of Christ will find a strong, yet encouraging charge to unashamedly proclaim the gospel, along with practical guidance that will help them more confidently obey the call to share the good news of Jesus”
~Mark McMahan — Father of 5, C.E.O. Shelby Kennedy Foundation, which operates The National Bible Bee.
“ROOTS was the kick start into evangelism that my youth ministry needed! Immediately following the first video lesson my students were begging me to take them out street witnessing ASAP so that they could put into practice what they just learned!”
~Chad Williams — Author of Seal of God and High School Director at Harvest OC (Greg Laurie).
“The ROOTS evangelism curriculum is both engaging and life-changing, packed with theological truth. In eleven years of youth ministry I’ve never seen teenagers more excited to share their faith! They’re evangelizing to their peers one-on-one and open-air preaching at their schools!” ~Matt Shackelford — Pastor of Student Ministries, Kindred Community Church, Anaheim Hills, CA
“We trained a group of about 38 students with the ROOTS evangelism DVD series and then took them to Indio, CA for a mission trip. God moved in amazing ways there. The students felt very equipped to share the gospel…The best thing about this trip is that the students have not stopped sharing their faith. This is our first week back and they have already shared the gospel with teachers, to their family members, friends, out in public places, and all over their campuses. On Tuesday at lunch one of our students open air preached at lunch in the middle of his school. Today I brought him 60 tacos to give away to draw a crowd and he did it again. A couple of other students open air preached at another campus in Bakersfield…God is moving in amazing ways here and students that didn’t even go on the trip are catching onto the fire. Thank you guys for all that you do.” ~Jeremy Doyle — Minister of High School Ministries, Valley Baptist Church, Bakersfield, CA
“We went through ROOTS for our Sunday morning service . . . It culminated in us going out . . . for an outreach at the beach. Through the six weeks the students were alternately excited and scared about witnessing. It was an effective tool for starting us on a path to regular evangelism. We already have another outreach planned and the students are excited about doing it on a regular basis. The nature of taking small steps toward a big goal was key to getting teens out of their comfort zones. Our students have already stepped into evangelism more than they thought possible and are excited to do it more!”~Mike Winger — Associate Pastor, Hosanna Chapel, Bellflower, CA
